Cannabis affects a variety of hormones that are regulated by hypothalamic function and it appears that the psychoactive ingredient, THC, is the major compound responsible for this action. It is probable that THC affects these hormones through its ability to alter various neural transmitters in the hypothalamus or neural transmitters in the CNS which impinge on the hypothalamus. Dr. Jenny discusses mechanism of action and what the research shows about how cannabis affects, sex and hormones.

She authors books for both healthcare practitioners and consumers and educates the healthcare community using her extensive research and findings for disease prevention and integrative healthcare.

Dr. Jenny has been instrumental in advancing industry standards with her positions of: president and chairman of The American Academy of the Endocannabinoid System (AAECS) and sits on the Executive Board of Directors for the American Board of Medical Marijuana Physicians (ABMMP). Her expansive credentials include a Board Certification at The American Board of Anti-Aging Health Practitioners – (ABAAHP), a Diplomate of the AAIM College of Nutrition and a Board Certification with the (AAIM) Board of Integrative Medicine.
