HealthDay News — For pediatric-onset treatment-resistant epilepsy, cannabinoids are effective as an adjunctive treatment for reducing seizure frequency by 50% or more, according to a review published online in the Journal of Neurology, Neurosurgery & Psychiatry.
Emily Stockings, PhD, from the National Drug and Alcohol Research Centre in Sydney, and colleagues reviewed the evidence for cannabinoids as adjunctive treatments for treatment-resistant epilepsy. Data were included from 6 randomized controlled trials and 30 observational studies
